“And all the tithe of the land…..is the Lord’s: it is holy unto the Lord” Leviticus 27:30

Tithers love to quote Leviticus 27:30 in this way “And all the tithe of the land…..is the Lord’s: it is holy unto the Lord”

Implying that since all came from the land, all are tithable to God and 10% of whatever things on earth is the Lord and holy unto the Lord. Now therefore, let’s test this notion if its sound or not.

Paper money is made of paper, paper came from the tree and tree grows from the land so 10% of it is tithable, is the Lord and holy unto the Lord.

Coins are made of metal, elements that made the metal came from the land and so 10% of it is tithable, is the Lord and holy to the Lord

Guns are made of metal too, elements that made the metal came from the land and if you own 10 guns, one of it is for tithing, is the Lord and holy to the Lord?

The chemical that made up the heroin came from the land too, and if a drug dealer produces 10kilos of heroin, 1 kilo is tithable, is the Lord and holy to the Lord?

Now, no doubt that this drugs is harmful to a man but, does it matter? Lev 27: 30 as implied in the verse above did not care whether its useful to a man or not, it cares only that it belongs to the Lord and is holy to the Lord regardless if its harmful to a man or not. And, everything, literally everything on earth e.i our bags,  money, watch, cellphone, leaves, rocks, shoes and etc came or the raw elements that made it came from the land. So, whether its useful to man or not, whether its harmful to a man or not, whether its illegal or legal, 10% of everything is the Lord and is Holy to the Lord.

Is this sound or not?

In full, Leviticus 27:30 is actually written in this way “And all the tithe of the land, WHETHER of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s: it is holy unto the Lord.

Whether in definition is whichever one of the two, in the case of leviticus 27:30, not all 10% of the land are tithable, the choice was, whether of the seed of the land of the fruits of the tree.
