When you see a doctor for a checkup, you will be asked to pay some consultation fee.
You go to a lawyer to ask for some legal advice, you will be asked to pay a legal advice fee.
Likewise, when you go to a church and seek spiritual counsel from a preacher or pastor (not all), it’s also not free, they are entitled to the 10% of your income and, continuing to heed spiritual counsel, or going to a church without giving the 10% of your income, you will be cursed with a curse. On the other hand, if you tithe you will get an abundant blessing that no room can contain. Moreover, they will tell you that, you are actually lucky because for centuries this god did not increase the wage reserve for the priests, it always remains to be 10% or tithe.
This is the god that most churches acknowledge and or worship but, when I read the bible, Jesus did not collect tithing nor the Apostle did. In fact, I read that Jesus Himself said, freely give as it was freely given (Matthew 10:5-8) but should someone offer food or drinks, eat or drink with the household who offered, for the laborer is worthy of his food after all.
On top of this, in the old testament, the tithe was found to be paid in agricultural currency (Lev 27:30) even though money was already available at that time (Deut 2:6) and, it was to be paid specifically to the sons of Levi (Num 18:21) but after the death of Christ, sons of Levi were remove from their priestly duties hence, the compensation in return for the service was of course also removed. They should not continuously receive compensation (the tithe) for the retired service.
“Therefore, if perfection were through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need was there that another priest should rise according to the order of Melchizedek, and not be called according to the order of Aaron? For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law. For He of whom these things are spoken belongs to another tribe, from which no man has officiated at the altar.” Hebrews 7:11-13 NKJV
So, having said the above, since the God in the bible instructed that His tithe was to be paid in agricultural and was to be paid through sons of Levi, yet today, it can be paid in money and can be collected by any other human being other than sons of Levi, who then is this god whom most churches acknowledge and or worship that is in contrary to the God in the bible?
