Don’t be like Gehazi in 2 Kings 5. Elisha was indeed entitled to receive gifts when Naaman was healed but Elisha refused. Yet, this Gehazi did not see through it. He must have thought that it was okay since Naaman was willing to give and Elisha was entitled to it anyway. But, read what happened.
In like manners, those who say that it was only apostles discretion and it is up to those who claim to be Pastors now whether to follow them or not is exactly being like Gehazi. Apostles, clearly stated that though they have right, they did not claim it to set an example to be followed.
Is it not shameful to be called apostolic yet, does not follow the apostles in this regard?
