Meaning of the above verses:
(1) Unleavened Bread– This symbolizes the untainted word of God or the word of God without changing or adding anything to it.
(2) The Body of Christ is paralleled to the unleavened bread because the Body of Christ is the untainted word of God. The Body of Christ also symbolizes the church since the church carries the word of God.
(3) Blood of Christ symbolizes the sacrifices, persecution, and sufferings that Jesus encountered, the communion of the blood Christ means sharing the persecution and sufferings which one will encounter as this is inevitable.
(4) The breaking of bread is communing with the untainted word of God. Communing means the sharing or exchanging of intimate thoughts and feelings, especially on a mental or spiritual level.
The literal breaking of bread and drinking of wine in remembrance of Jesus Christ- the eucharist is simply a surface, superficial meaning which of no value if one doesn’t understand and does what it symbolizes. He is best remembered by communing with His words and following his teachings.
