The Begotten Son

John 1:18 and John 10:34 as according to Strong’s number are both 2316 which means theos defined as God, a god.

Question is, the theos in John 10:34 are they not created? If they are, how about the theos in John 1:18? Begotten is a past participle of “beget” which means brought into existence by or as if by a parent. This begotten God or brought into existence God admittedly confirm it by Himself in Isaiah 43:10 that, before Him, no god was formed, nor will there be one after Him.

It was the Son who was in the Old Testament, Son as defined in Col 1:15 is the Image of the invisible God, He was the one seen in the old, seen by Moses and Jacob but at that point in time, the Son, of course, has no human flesh yet. Same as the man in John 10:34, Son too was called God in Heb 1:8 but though He was called God, He too has a God in Heb 1:9.

“The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.”Colossians‬ ‭1:15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“But about the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.” Hebrews‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.”Hebrews‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

He was impressed as God but though He was impressed as one, He too was brought into existence by the Father- His only begotten God, and because by foreknowledge He will obey His Father all throughout, He obtains by inheritance the name above all names (Heb 1:4) which is His Father’s name made known only when the Son was sent to become a Man or Christ. His Father’s complete name is JESUS which means, I AM SAVIOUR revealed through the Son.

“I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of YOUR NAME, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one.”John‬ ‭17:11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”Matthew‬ ‭1:21‬ ‭NIV‬‬
